Peace on earth begins with peace in you!
This is what God, your maker and the lifter of your head, says to you today:
“Peace, peace,
I offer peace to all,
both near and far!
“I will give you real peace.
And with my peace,
I will rescue your soul.”
My love and kindness will shine upon you like the sun that rises in the sky. My light will shine to guide you into a life of peace.
Then you will lie down and sleep with no cause for fear. You will rest with nothing to frighten you, because I, the Lord your God, will keep you safe and secure.

God will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, all whose minds remain focused on him!
For this reason, give all your worries and cares to God. Turn all your troubles and anxieties over to him, because he cares about you.
He is always thinking about you and watching over everything that concerns you. So…
Don’t worry about anything.
Instead, pray about everything;
tell God your needs,
and don’t forget to thank him.
If you do this,
you will experience God’s peace,
which is far more wonderful
than the human mind can understand.
His peace will
guard your heart and mind.
It will keep your thoughts and heart
quiet and at rest
as you put your trust in Christ Jesus.
